Square Puzzler - $USD 3.00

Square Puzzler, 1964, Setko - Set Screw & Mfg. Co.; wood board and metal pegs Object is to exchange the position of the pegs of one color with the pegs of the other color in the opposite corner. This puzzle is the same as Switch (except Switch has wood pegs), also in this auction. The puzzle itself is excellent, but the litho on the box is in bad shape: much of the litho is removed, including the title, but the solid wood board and the metal pegs are excellent. I ship internationally. All payments from outside the U.S.A. should be paid in euro to the PayPal address shown in the invoice (if your currency is not euro, it will be converted automatically). NOTE TO AMERICAN BUYERS only: Please pay in dollars to this PayPal address: games@thebiggamehunter.com; if you wish to pay through PayPal with a credit card in the USA, please add 3% and contact me for a different email address.
All Five - $USD 200.00

Wayne Daniel created this magical nesting of the five Platonic solids, a tour de force whose outer icosahedron contained a dodecahedron then a cube, none tetrahedra and four octahedra, all without empty spaces. It garnered attention in the New York Times of May 10, 2005: http:/query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res 9C06E7DA1230F933A25756C0A9639C8B63 (Decades earlier, Dale Seymour had issued a cardboard model of the five nested Platonic solids, in a different order of nesting.) Both an assembly puzzle and a packing puzzle. Shipped with the Times article, Wayne Daniels several pages of remarks, and a copy of the Seymour brochure.

Astronomic Star burr puzzle - $USD 1.00

The Astronomic Star Flights of Fancy Mind Bending Puzzle from 1999 comes in a plastic pouch with a cardboard title card stapled to it and an instruction card inside. Its from the UK. The puzzle I have has identical wood pieces - but the instructions read, Just try to place the four pieces together into Astronomic Star. Maybe the puzzle is what to do with the extra pieces. Though the instructions go on to give a story about Mona Lisa sitting for her portrait while suitors tried to do the puzzle, and mentions four pieces forming a square, the illustration, however, clearly suggest that all pieces need to be used to form a burr.
