The intent of the marketplace is to facilitate trade between individual collectors; it is not meant as an alternate venue for puzzlemakers to sell currently available items in a more profitable setting. We, as craftsmen, owe a great debt of gratitude to the loyal collectors who support us, and it would be wrong to sell new work on a highest-bidder basis.

In keeping with that spirit, new puzzles may not be listed on the site directly by craftsmen. However, I recognize that sometimes artists will make one-off items, or want to get rid of personal copies of previously available items from their personal collection. In those circumstances ONLY, listing such items for sale is permitted.

If you are a puzzlemaker and would like to inquire as to becoming a member artist, or if you have any questions about this policy, please contact us .

For information on registration, listing/selling items, bidding, sending invoices and other "how to" questions, please see the Help Page. It is highly recommended that you read this section to fully understand the mechanisms of bidding and listing!
In short; we do not share, give away, sell or otherwise reveal your personal information to any other entity unless forced to by legal measures.

Reading the complete Privacy Policy is highly recommended; you can find it HERE.
We use 128 bit encryption issued and verified by GeoTrust to protect the transmission of your personal data (this can be verified by clicking the logo on the bottom of the page). Once collected, the data is stored in an SQL database which is firewall and password protected, and is inaccessible to outside computers. Furthermore, we do not collect nor maintain sensitive data such as credit card or banking information.

Integrity of the auction process is paramount. Registered users will be randomly polled yearly to elect an auditor from their peers. That individual will be given full access to all listings, transactions and users in order to verify that the process is honest.

Finally, users should have a high degree of confidence in their fellow users due to the fact that membership is limited to known members of good standing in the puzzle community.

Auctions are scheduled three times per year. The date of the next auction is 12:00 PM (EST) Sunday, June 2nd, 2013. The listing function is shut down for the duration of any current event, and will re-open once the last item closes. Once the listing feature opens, all items will be automatically scheduled to begin at the next event start date. The auction duration is 7+ days depending on bids (see anti-snipe feature in “Auction Length” category).

This is a private site. While anyone may join as a bidder, item listing is restricted to known members of the international puzzle community and IPP members. If you do not qualify as a listing member, you may become one by having references from two current members. Simply have them send an email identifying you by name as a puzzle friend and member of good standing in our community. New accounts will by default be restricted to bidding only - please send an email request to have your account upgraded to listing status.

All new accounts must be verified by the site administrator, who may contact the prospective member in order to verify their standing in the puzzle community.

All auctions are scheduled to run for 7 days by default. Auction length can be extended if the anti-snipe feature is activated by a bidder placing a bid within the last 24 hours of the auction. If this occurs, the auction time is automatically extended for a period of time, according to the following chart:

Anti-Snipe time extensions are as follows:
Overtime day 1 through 5............................24 hour extension
Overtime day 5 through 8............................12 hour extension
Overtime day 8 through 9............................6 hour extension
Overtime 9 days plus...................................3 hour extension

Auction fees are simple; 4.85% of the final value of the item sold if the price is over $50. There are no other fees. Listing an item is free. If the item sells for less then $50, the reserve is not met, or does not sell at all, you pay no fees for that item.

Bid increments are as follows:

$1.00 - $4.99 $0.50 Increment
$5.00 - $19.99 $1.00 Increment
