Disentanglement puzzles are quite different from the others. Most of them are made from metal or string, and require quite different thinking compared to burr puzzles. The problems are basically topographical, but there is quite a bit of creativity used to make some of them seem virtually impossible! The goal of most disentanglement puzzles is to remove an object from the puzzle, be it a bit of string, a shuttle or a ring of some type.
