Burr puzzles have been around for a while. The most recognizable iterations are the standard 6 piece burrs. The exact definition of burr puzzles is a bit elusive...for the purposes of this index I have included anything which is interlocking and has a symmetrical appearance. While this may not necessarily jibe with the various classifications put forth by experts, it works well enough for me :-)
