Thanks Robert!  good point, I need to keep a better mileage log.  I end up estimating how many miles every year by mapquesting any major trips and using the mileage.  I'm staying at a customers place for free, so only other thing to deduct is parking

Eric have great time.  Take some photos for the forum, I'd love to see what it's all about.

In regards to tracking mileage, I find a Palm Pilot is the ticket.  I have to track mileage for work, and there are a ton of Palm programs for tracking mileage.  Some have great features and will print out your total trip mileage at the end of the year.

If you go out to eat with your friends, just say "puzzles" and you get to deduct 1/2 of the ticket from your income (business meals expense as long the topic is discussed.).  If you just keep your gas receipts to show that you took the trip and filled up along the way, you can just calculate the milage when you get back by looking at a map.

Give them hell.

Hey guys,

Just got back, had a great time but am super tired!  Hung out a lot with Rob Stegmann and finally met Bryan van Ost.  Showed Jerry my new box and he said the mechanism is completely unique and wants to buy one to put in his museum...cool since he pretty much quit buying puzzles a while back to my knowledge.  He also congratulated me on the Marketplace and said he thought it was a great idea. 

Had a few pints (OK, more then a few) with Tom Lensch, John Rausch, Nick Baxter, Frank Potts and Bryan Young.  Laurie Brokenshire was at the pub and did some AMAZING slight of hand tricks.  Also saw Bernhard and Tom Jolly among many others.  Probably 40-45 people showed to the NYPP.  The event is growing every year and is open to all comers, so you guys should seriously consider going to the next one!

Cool to hear about the puzzle party, Sounds like a great time, and my wife wants to visit New York, so I will add it to my next years plans.  I am very curious about your new puzzle box and can't wait to see it,if Jerry is wanting to purchase one it sounds like a winner!

hello everybody

just home with a light jet lag from the trip I can say it was it worth to make the long trip there; thanks Tom Cutrofello it was a great party with about 45 very interested people there , with great organisation and some very interesting talks, especially Rob Stegmann`s talk about History and Types  of Sliding Puzzles was very informative for me; it was a good possibility to meet some friends, make new friends.Very nice to talk with Tom Jolly,Tom Lensch.John Rausch,Brian Young,John Steigerwald,Tim Rowett,and not to forget the Benevolent Dictator of the Puzzle Market Place Forum

Hey Bernhard - finally got some time to play with that round Involute puzzle - very tricky second move!  I think I figured out how you turn it also - use a 4 jaw chuck for one half, the make a chuck out of a puzzle piece for the other half and rebuild the puzzle on the chuck for final turning of the other half.  Anyway, a beautiful puzzle and a steal for $100.  You should charge more.
