Hi, I'm hoping someone out there can PLEASE  Shocked explain to me how to install burr tools on a Mac running the latest version of Leopard. After years and years of being on Windows I decided to change to a Mac this year and I've found that installing burr tools on a Mac is very difficult as compared to Windows where you just zip open a file and run an executable. The Install file for the OSX binary of burr tools mentions compiling the source code etc., etc., and I'm just not a newbie on Mac Leopard. Can someone please help so I can run burr tools on my Mac? Thank you very much.

Hi Patty,

I'm the Mac port-er for burrtools...
I assume you downloaded the .dmg file with the pre-built code...
The .dmg file should mount when double clicked on, and in the resulting folder you should
find the burrGui executable...

If you downloaded the source as distributed on source-forge, it might prove to be more difficult to build.
I build from the darcs repository....

If you need any help with either of these, don't hesitate to send me a private message or e-mail.

Cheers,
Derek

Thank you so much Derek! I downloaded the .dmg file but still have a few questions. I'll write you privately. I had no idea you were the Mac port-er  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
