I like all kinds of mechanical puzzles and recently stumbled upon this:

Created by Chris Pitt apparently one of the contractors/consultants of the Ramisis puzzle. I found this through "Rob's Puzzle Page"

Now, I don't know the unspoken rules (if there is any) in the puzzle world, and if posting things like this is a bit sensitive, if it qualifies as advertisement (note, I have no connection what so ever with this puzzle) or you just want to keep the forum clean towards a particular group of puzzles and therefore does not belong here, please let me know. But I thought it might be a seed for ideas for a wooden puzzle.

Excuse me for all my excuses, but a lot of forums/groups tend to have one or two unspoken rules, and therefore I'm trying to feel my way into this one.  Smiley

Btw. any info about new puzzles here on cubicdissection? I have signed up for the newsletter, but I'm hoping for perhaps a little hint or two about what's coming.  Grin

Yeah, Revomaze looks interesting, I have perused the website a bit. I'd love to hear if anybody has tried it and liked it. I am reluctant to spend that much on a puzzle that doesn't come very highly recommended Smiley

Hi Brian,

Looks like a cool puzzle.  There aren't any rules really...no problem posting interesting stuff from other sites.

Here's a quick preview pic of what I've been working on lately.  It's called "In Brackets" and is a Sam Cornwell design (his prototype on the left).

Definite items for the next update include:
-In Brackets
-Rescube
-Edge Corner Cube II
-???

Btw. I received The Cartesian Wallet today, and now pulling my hair trying to put it back together, Aaaarghhh!!  Angry Huh Angry Huh (didn't pay much attention when I unfolded it) Grin  Any hints before I go bald?  Huh

Wow, that got there quick!  Don't really have any hints for the cartesian other than use the picture on the website as a guite to how it should look once completed.  If you carefully examine the pictures of it assembled, it should give you some inferences for solving.

Tougher than you thought it would be huh?  Those are my favorite kinds of puzzles Cheesy

I have seen the Revomaze being sold on Ebay by the inventor.  Here is a small video of a prototype model, I believe the inventor is the one operating it.  You can see the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CAkESOsdXA  Looks like a really solid puzzle.

I ended up buying one of these, and it will hopefully arrive before the eastern holiday. Will report back what I think about it later.

I bought the first one, and recommend it...
It is a really *$!#@ frustrating puzzle...
Trying to follow a path you cannot see with traps that send you back to the beginning if you make the wrong move...  I have had mine over a week, and still haven't solved it yet...  Not that I've been trying constantly...  I'm still working on the Beaulid Box, Stickman's orb box and a few twisty puzzles...

It is also a heavy puzzle (over a pound)...

I've pre-ordered the rest of the series...

I got this puzzle and also recommend it.
I recon it took about 6 hours to solve it and I'm now up on the leaderboard  Grin

I don't know if this says more about me or the puzzle... in comparison I struggled with the cartesian wallet for longer =)

The blue one (the only one available when I purchased it, is the first in the series and also the easiest one)
