Behold...future Robert!  He's completely given up any guise of haveing his mechanisms actually do something (like open a box) and instead just makes cool ass nonsensical mechanisms.  The only thing missing is bees buzzing everywhere as they are now part of the family and live in the woodshop.

Holy smoke! That is one insane contraption!  Your right it reminds me of Roberts Puzzle boxes.  Very cool!  Check out the other contraptions he's created.  I like his wooden scroll saw he's made.

It's almost a Rube Goldberg machine, except that it accomplishes nothing during it's movement. It is a nice illustration of making wooden mechanicals though.
