The Altekruse puzzle is my all time favorite; although, van Deventer's Matchbox puzzle and a few of Bill Cutler's and RKB's puzzles come in a close second. Does anybody else have a favorite over everything else?

As far as puzzleboxes go (my speciality), Eric Fuller's Spline puzzlebox was the most satisfying overall to play with.  A close second would be my own three lock box, but only because I built it and know how cool the mechanism is.  The matchbox is really a puzzlebox as well, and I must agree that it is cool  I would include it in my top five.

My favorite is still Kamei's "Box with Key".  It's the perfect blend of skilled craftsmanship, technical difficulty, and most importantly has a solution that takes complete advantage of the solver's preconcieved notions of what to do with a box and a key.

O Dear!, I don't have a favorite

I have a simple mind , simple solutions , with a humourous twist, like Kamei's puzzles

For me, Puzzles with 1 to 3 moves are more attractive and tougher to solve  than multiples

As a puzzlemaker (like 3 boxes in my lifetime), you get bias towards your own.
Always as a simple concept, it evolves over months till the end result

Impossibles are another that stirs my interests, always a challenge
Have a drawer box that always opens upright , no matter with way you rotate the box

Finally, something fun to play with. like uncharted Polyhedras and TRIACONTAHEDRONS!!
