I don't know the answer to your riddle, but I bet you meant to say underpants.

I don't know which is worse, Cocobolo for the itching, Padauk for the dust that stains my clothing, or mdf that goes *everywhere*. (Or cutting Jatoba/zebrawood, which smell like dog poop.)

Thanks for that Kerry, not sure why I never thought of that With one of those outfits and a full respirator helmet, I'll be good to go and then for Halloween I can use the outfit to dress up as a 'Puzzlemaker'

Leaving comments about your undergarments aside... 1. Put 6 coins on each tray of the balance. Whichever side registers heavier, set those aside because the fake is not in there. 2. Divide the remaining coins, three on each tray. Again, set aside the heavier coins. 3. Put two of the remaining coins on the balance. If one of them is lighter, that is the fake. If they are the same, the remaining coin (the one not on the balance) is your culprit.

I got so warm I had to cut openings in the back for ventilation. I didn't get hives again though.

This is a well known logical puzzle. Reminds me of times long gone! You have to start with 4 coins on each side of the balance. And then... The puzzle can also be solved when you start with 13 coins including one fake (lighter or heavier). Anyone?

Yes, I suppose someone could have substituted a fake gold coin by gold-plating some platinum or uranium, but either would be worth more than the gold, so why bother?
