Here's a link to a video demonstration of a very unique turning tool...I have one that was designed for 'pen' work and let me tell you it makes quick work of taking a square blank to round!!

Oh by the way 'Chinny' these are available from a fellow Canuck if you're interested!

i beleave the tool is great.I dont need it yet...as a tool hungry i am(aren't we all) but i found easy to remove amount of wood with the tool Bedan. Not many people use that because it caches very easy if you are not familiar with it.When i want to remove quick a big amount of wood i use it reverse!!!With the angle down

I am assuming all of you lathe enthusiasts are familiar with this book :

I'm expecting to be able to buy some turned puzzles on CubicDissection soon! Wink

Thats 1 cool book on threading, and the puzzles there are great. Have the tools, but never mastered free threading. Instead I use the thread from the lathe chuck and a dremel v cutter for mine. Bit fiddly but works for me

Theres also a latest book by David Spingett called Woodworking Full Circle worth getting, where he glues 2  pieces together, turn it and split the gap , giving different designs when reglued, a wow!

How about a few pics of your wood turn  masterpieces in the posts

You can use a lathe to grill mushrooms on so they cook evenly.   Cheesy
