I spotted this on Amazon today, and I may have to install one. There's not a lot of free wall space in the shop/garage, but I may have to make some.

Awesome.  I wanted something for the shop that would not spark sawdust in the air.

I use a propane torpedo heater.  Heats the place up quick.  Not too worried about igniting dust...that would have to be a LOT of dust in the air to perpetuate an explosion I think.

Looks like you can get about $30 off by using the Live Search Discount through eBay.

I could not find a BTU output listed anywhere.  Anyone see that?

Might be nice to have this for a backup in my finishing room when the exhaust fan pulls all the heat out of the shop,

I have been using a oil radiator for my shop (no open flames), but it takes about 45 minutes just to warm up.

It's only 400w@3.3amp so its output is roughly 1300btu.  I'd like to put it on the same run as my shop lights, but I think the additional load would pop the breaker.

What a sissy heater  Roll Eyes Grin.  Mine cranks out 30,000 - 55,000 BTU/HR.  Heats the place up in a hurry.  I go through about a tank of propane a week, running it in bursts.

A dictator needs a heating unit that can also be used to dispose of bodies when necessary.  Shocked

I dunno about bodies, but I discovered that it works really good on shrinkwrap.  I just lay them all out on the floor, pick up the heater and sweep it like a flamethrower.  30 puzzles, shrinkwrapped in 30 seconds Wink
