Mine include reading, drag racing, motorcycles, competetive shooting and boxing.  Someday if I ever have the time I want to get into making rolling ball sculptures!

What,

Nobody has mushroom growing as a hobby.  I am starting to feel like a minority.  I have already listed the majority of my hobbies, at least the legal ones.  Oh, that reminds me that I need to turn down the fire under my still before it blows. Smiley

For any newbies, I love:

Gardening - Mushroom growing - tinkering (especially with chemicals or electronics)- bee keeping - tobacco curing - soap making - bread baking - gormet cooking - writing / poetry - rifle shooting - computer programing - video game playing and spelunking.  Oh, and I have also been known to dabble in making puzzleboxes.  I would like to get into glass blowing.

It is nice to have a place that is separate from the main theme since we all seem to be have a strong desire to stray from teh puzzle theme.  Still, I must agree with John.  How are we getting anything done with all the time we spend on this fourm.

Peter,

The whole reason get halo 3 is to play online.  The regular missions are just the bow that they attach to the package.  It took me several months after I got it to even get around to playing the main game.  I was spending all my time playing on line, so I would have to recommend getting the hook up.

As far as magic, you should hook up with Peter Hajek, who does get into not only puzzleboxes, but magic boxes as well.  You must know that a magic box is really only a puzzle box that does a trick that you can't explain.  You probably have already designed your own version of a vanishing coin box, or a stab a pencil through a coin box.  It seems that everyone has designed thier own unique twist in these boxes.  Still, if you get into designing unique magic boxes, there is a definate market out there that is far from satisfied.  Hell, if I was not so busy with my particular niche, I would make them myself for a living.  I think I even have a few sketches for magic boxes around somewhere that I will never get around to crafting.  Get a hold of my if you are interested.

As far as the magic mushrooms, I do try to steer clear of them for legal reasons, but I am greatly intrigued by any mushroom.  I don't know why I have a fetish for them.  Do you know that there is an "illegal" mushroom out there that actually glows in the dark.  IT sounds like a real trip for a hippie in a dark room.  I do, however, have my own vises, and right now I am enjoying a nice glass of home made wine.

Yes I know, I need to get online with Halo3.  I am currently on a DSL basic internet plan (not high speed), and currently the only way to hook up the Xbox to the router would be through a WiFi connection.  I also worry that I am addicted to the internet enough as it is right now, and having the Xbox online would not help the addiction : (

In regards to Magic, yes I have been into building magic tricks.  I'm a member of a magic club and have filled a few requests for building magic tricks.  I would be curious to see your magic box sketches, I will personal message you.

I did see a documentary that had a bit on the glowing mushrooms.  Very cool things, quite an interesting hobby to have.  I live very close to the Niagara region, it's very well know for it's vineyards, and there are a million little wineries setup in the area.  There's nothing better than a nice bottle of wine  Smiley

I make wine myself and have my own vinyard.  I am amazed at how many grapes it takes to make a single bottle of wine.  Even then, the quality I can produce is sub par to whatever can be purchased.  I am just not that good at it.  In my opinion, it is just cheaper and easier to buy a bottle made by a professional, but it is still fun to try.

I will send the sketches when able, but they are not as great of ideas as you might think.  I have a few friends, and we play "magic the gathering", which is perhaps the best strategy game I have ever played, but now I am just sounding like a nerd.  I love regular magic tricks as well and appreciate any trick that I am unable to figure out on my own.
