Thanks for the reference and for the compliments.  I have to say that Ry's puzzles always puzzle me - mainly just wondering how do you come up with these, Ry?  This is a fantastic and unexpected twist on a true classic puzzle!

It was a lot of fun making the puzzles.  Too bad our move came up so soon after.  I have the shop all packed up and didn't get a chance to make more than the IPP entry puzzles.  But I will get back to them after we get settled and then offer some for sale on the website.

How did everyone do with their entries?  I'll have to see the results (haven't looked yet).   Smiley

I just went looking for the results and didn't find them...

Does anyone have the link to the entries with names of who designed the puzzles, and/or the results of the competition?

Hey guys...

I'm stuck in the airport in Amsterdam...with delays and such it's gonna take me 24 hours door to door.  I'm running out of airlines to hate at this point  Angry

Anyway, the winners are (drumroll):
First Place (three way tie)
-Secret Base
-Tangerine
-IRMO Box (w00t!)

Puzzle of the Year (Grand Prize and Puzzlers award):
-ODD Puzzle

Have a bunch of pics and will post them sometime Wednesday after I sleep for 12 hours.

Congratulations Eric on your IRMO Box win! Now that the competition is over I can reveal that I was the designer and creator of "Bank Heist"  It was my first attempt at making a Mechanical Puzzle and I had a lot of fun creating the design, that for me was an accomplishment in itself!  Grin

Congratulations, Eric!!!
Irmo is a great box!

I've had the chance to play with the ODD puzzle, and it is a good puzzle worthy of the grand prize.

I'm sure the website for the design competition will be updated as soon as Nick (Baxter) gets back...  Then all the names and buying guides Smiley will be available!

Cheers, Derek

Hi all,
Eric's win was a popular one with the puzzlers here, although he didn't do so well at making a simple 6 piece burr.

Vinco (Vaclav Obsivac) had some plumbing bits that had to be assembled/ We had a competition on stage at the awards dinner, with Eric, Brian Young, Tomas Linden and Patrick Major. Brian Young won the competition, with Eric just a couple of seconds behind him.

I will try and post some pics when I get back to the UK.

Congrats, Eric!  You box was really well done.  I will certainly sign up to try it out after we get settled - I'm really itching to see it.

Congrats to you also Peter - your Bank Heist turned out really well!

Hey guys, thanks, I was really happy to win the award.  Also scored a COOL puzzle as the trophy - took me forever to solve it.

The quality of the exchange puzzles was outstanding and I'm a bit bummed I didn't participate.  I'm definitely planning to next year.

Frank - I want a rematch!  Seriously, that was fun and I was *so* close Cheesy.  Gimme another chance and I'll take Bryan DOWN next time lol

Can't wait to see pics, when you find the time Wink  Again congrats on your IRMO puzzlebox win!  When you find the time could you revise the title of your puzzlebox in the 'library' to reflect your first place win at IPP Prague Wink
