Hi Robert, time we talk. Over the years , I have collected 2 of your facinating work, the drawer one( still figuring it out) and the date setting one. Thank you , you have amazing ability. I notice the Snowflake, made by John, is in the Puzzle library, and would like a loan after IPP28. In return I will contribute one of my other Football Downunder and possibly this years Woo and 2 Soccer balls as loaners
Can't afford the steep auctions , and I think the Puzzle library is another brillian Eric's firsts
Notice in the other forums , you mention Hellraiser boxes. I made a few in the past.Fully functional Star formaation that flashes and shoots poppers. Theres also a Jigsaw movement one. I made a moving prototype then lost it. Also a septre pointy one, very differcult but operational, and lastly a 3 second clip of a rolling cube that turns into a sphere,,,,working on that one,,,hmmm
Anyway, made the ball one with Coffins expanding cube, turned it into a sphere, as well as a solid sphere and expanding Cube version. They sit and collect dust now. 8 gorry movies were made, first 2 explains the movements best
I joined one of their forums and that is an experience on its own. Not into the gorry stuff but the cube facinates me. Ever made one?
Email me and I 'll send pics, or contact John to view some of my works and have a laugh. You coming to Prague, love to meet you one day. Marks been helping me with the 2 tier, God help him, Cheers,,,stephen

Post your request for the Devost remake of the snowflake at any time that you are ready for it. I have made many boxes before in the past, and the snowflake is as close I have ever come to a "perfect puzzlebox". I will also be remaking them at some point in the future, and they will probably list for around $45. They were never limited editions, so I always planned on making more.
I have worked on and off on hellraiser boxes but nothing so far. Seems like you are having more luck with the concept that I am. I would love to see pictures, and I will e-mail you just so we can establish a secure connection. The biggest problem to a hellraiser box is getting it to open that pesky dimension into hell. I do, however, have a few designs for puzzleboxes that turn into other shape puzzleboxes, so far I have not worked out all the bugs. If you have any good ideas for such a box, perhaps we could work on it together. I love joint projects.
Will not make it to Prague for various reasons. I won't even get to enter anything in the IPP contest this year. Just the way things happened. I intend to go to the next one however. It is a lot closer and more cost effective.
Oh, by the way, if you do get the snowflake out of the library, you might also request some of the other small puzzles I have in there. It costs just as much to send one item as two in most cases.

Robert, I have made contact with 'hamseng'(Stephen) and his work is outstanding to say the least, he most definitely has some unique puzzlebox ideas, I'm glad he's made contact with you, I can see some awesome design collaborations between the two of you

John,
Saw pics as well. Very interesting and well made. They have plastic versions on line, but these were the first I had seen of hand made versions, and they actually do something to boot. I am impressed Stepehen.

Dear Mr Robertsan Yargermoto
Interesting observation that winners of IPP have a Japanese inclusion EVERY year. Thought I'd rub it in.Not to worry, when I get back from Prague, I am changing my name and address too.No Aussie has ever come close either
When I get back John, you are 1st in line for the Football. Plan to make 4 myself and document it, but never gonna happen. Complicated but possible. Will send more pics of Hellraiser, see if you can post them here. I'm hopeless on computers
Love to enter in Erics competition, but fail in the money made department. Big mouth told Eric about selling football + others at last IPP to Olga Krasnooukhov (Eric says shes an agent, kgb).Guy's gotta eat and pay for the trip, ya know.Maybe we can pester Eric to raise the earnings to $1000000, then we can all enter, Can do with the Incra Jig. Maybe he suffers from dimentia. I'll bonk him on the head when we meet
Seriously, I am a tinkerer, best fluke artist too.And I make the best sawdust, firewood and dust collectors. Aim in life at the moment is win something at IPP, or die trying,,,,,long slow death, especially on puzzle boxes
Re Snowflake, check Nick's auction I think it went for a fortune, $45 is way too cheap, don't underestimate your talent,,,,50 cents an hour labour

My momma used to say that IPP is like a box of chocolates, you never know what flavor is going to be selected.
