I figured this could turn into a valuable resource for all puzzlemakers, so you guys may see the likes of Bernhard S., Lee K, Tom Lensch, etc in here as well shoudl they decide to join.

Just a heads up.

I was just about to add this to the wish list.  You beat me to it again!  It will be great to have a place where all of us can get together.

It must have been incredible to actually hold his Sphinx?  I'm also curious if he used one Stewart's original pieces as a model?  I remember reading that Stewart had made gluing molds for the actual pieces.

Hi Guys, Eric called me and told me how well this form was going. I am very happy to see something like this. Thanks Eric on all of your hard work and efforts in helping bring us together in a way that we can share ideas and things we have learned.

Sphinx - Yes I was able to use one of Mr. Coffin's original Sphinx puzzles to make mine. He and I talked about making induvidual gluing jigs for the 12 different pieces but it was not very practical, unlike the gluing jig for the Jupiter puzzle. I remove one piece from the original and glue up a new piece and continue that until I all of the original pieces have been removed. It takes a while to produce one, not to mention gathering up 30 different types of woods and milling them. The Jupiter and Sphinx puzzles are what attracted me to making puzzles.  Smiley
