O.k. so I have had this addiction over the last few years of looking at Mechanical Puzzles over the internet, and I have collected a few links.  Some of them are in foreign languages, some are of pictures, some are how to create, and some are of more links, but if your into puzzles all of them are interesting.  So I figure the group may find something they have never seen before.  Here they are for anyone interested.  *Warning you may require a few weeks of rainy Sundays to get through this list* Enjoy!

Holy Cow!  Now that's a link page.

How about I put you in charge of the links on cubicdissection.com?  You're clearly doing a better job of it than I am...half the links on there are dead I think.

Thanks for the new links, can't wait to check them out.  This morning my wife challenged me to a Week without internet Embarrassed What on earth will I do... I've already taken apart my workshop for my upcoming move....Oooo...can't....go..on!

Glad you like the links, and sorry if a few have died.  I actually went through and deleted around 25 that were dead, I guess some got through.

And the wooden gear link was for me.  I have changed my approach to making wooden gears after that one.  Actually, these links were all supplied recently to me by Dawson.  I don't cruise the net as much as the rest of you, and definately less than Peter.

now you've ruined another perfectly good evening while I go and see if I have these links in my bookmarks folder, and see if there are some I have to share.  Grin

Excellent job on putting the list together, Peter.  I can't sleep, so I thought I would contribute.

Here are a few more...

http://www.bartart.net/   Bart Buie's website
http://www.indiana.edu/~liblilly/overview/puzzles.shtml Jerry Slocum's collection at the Lilly Library @ Indiana Univ
http://www.tutka.net/~linkola/ Matti Linkola's puzzle page
http://www.maxton.com/maxtongallery.shtml  Metal puzzles as sculptures
http://www.tomlechner.com/sculptures/sculptures.html   While not puzzles, there are some very nice polyhedral wooden sculptures.  You may also want to check out the "Solids" book in pdf form.  Contains math formulas for many polyhedra including rhombic dodecahedra and 30 side polyhedron.  Formulas can be useful for Coffin puzzles like Jupiter, scorpius, garnet etc.
