Wow!
Kagen has a sweet desk for sale for a "mere" $8000!

He also has a new box, Snake Box. The puzzle box business must be good since he is making 75 of them at $650 per box.

I  guess I will have to go haul my coins to the bank or sell that pesky SUV  and buy a bike.

Wow!!!

Nobody intimidates me quite like Kagen.  He always makes such exceptional boxes, and truthfully he, more than anyone, forces me to constantly take things to the next level.

Wow.. I haven't even got started and many of Eric's intimidate me from a woodworking angle. Kangen's work takes that to another level.

Kagen's work is always exceptional.  Kagen's attention to detail and the appearance of his boxes beats me hands down every time.  I focus a bit less on appearance, and more on the uniqueness of the actual puzzle.

According to the feedback I get from collectors, my boxes generally exceed Kagen's from the puzzle aspect.  In other words, they are more unique and enjoyable to solve.  Several have also mentioned that he frequently just changes one small aspect from a previous box when he makes the next, so while they look quite different, from a puzzle aspect they are mostly the same.  However, I can't say for sure it this is really true.  I have never played with one of his puzzles, and you know how collectors who e-mail you want to make you feel more special that you really are, so they might feeding me bullshit.

What I can say it that from just looking at pictures of his boxes, they are exceptional and spur me on to continually increase my abilities.  I would be intimidated by Eric's puzzle boxes, but it is so hard to get him motivated to make them on a regular basis.  He also has the gift, but just does not put out that many.
