Jonas, I'll see if I can find a way to make the box available internationally.  Perhaps I can buy some and resell them on Cubicdissection.  Would a premium of say $5 make it not worth it to you?  I would need to add *something* to justify spending the time on it...

That is very kind of you! I would be more then happy to pay $5 extra  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Thanks for the heads up on this item Jeff.
I like Bits and Pieces and had planned to purchase some of their reproductions earlier, just to find out that they don't ship outside the US  Cry
So if anyone knows a way of getting the Shut Case Box please let me know.  Smiley

...I would buy one in a heart beat, if any of craftsmen here decided to make one =) Especially the "Swoopy" clock.

Ahhhh, someone else who has inherited the disease - Puzzleitis.  Eric is the 'carrier' and spreads the disease with excellent workmanship.  Looking forward to the next release as well, even though I still haven't solved all the ones from the last lot!!!!!

Yes indeed, but this disease is one I don't want the cure for  Grin

The Swedish crown (SEK) is trading well against USD now, so I'm getting curious about upcoming puzzles Grin

Thank you all

Hi Jonas

have a look there

Thanks for the tips, I managed to get a hold of the inventor on http://www.popplock.com/ and I purchased the lock from him. I have not managed to open it yet  Grin

Jonas - welcome to Cubicdissection Forum!

My brother went to school in Uppsala and married a fellow Swede!  Nice country - although the 2 hrs of darkness in the middle of summer were really weird.  I suppose further north of the Stockholm area, it may be light (or dark) all 24 hours in the summer (winter).

You would have to travel way north, perhaps 1500 - 2000 km north of Stockholm to get daylight 24 hours. But yes in summer we really don't have much darkness, on the flipside: in Winter it's the exact opposite  Grin

I got this puzzle and also recommend it.
I recon it took about 6 hours to solve it and I'm now up on the leaderboard  Grin

I don't know if this says more about me or the puzzle... in comparison I struggled with the cartesian wallet for longer =)

The blue one (the only one available when I purchased it, is the first in the series and also the easiest one)

I managed to get in contact with Rainer Popp, and yes the e-mail communication was a bit slow aprox. 1 mail per day, but he might be a very busy man and/or limited internet access.

I ended up buying one of these, and it will hopefully arrive before the eastern holiday. Will report back what I think about it later.

Looks like a cool puzzle.  There aren't any rules really...no problem posting interesting stuff from other sites.

Here's a quick preview pic of what I've been working on lately.  It's called "In Brackets" and is a Sam Cornwell design (his prototype on the left).

Definite items for the next update include:
-In Brackets
-Rescube
-Edge Corner Cube II
-???

Thanks for update on upcoming puzzles!

Btw. I received The Cartesian Wallet today, and now pulling my hair trying to put it back together, Aaaarghhh!!  Angry Huh Angry Huh (didn't pay much attention when I unfolded it) Grin  Any hints before I go bald?  Huh

It might not have the precision required for making high-end puzzles... but it's cheap Grin

I like all kinds of mechanical puzzles and recently stumbled upon this:
http://www.revomaze.co.uk/ (It might not be any news for you, but for me it was Smiley )
Created by Chris Pitt apparently one of the contractors/consultants of the Ramisis puzzle. I found this through "Rob's Puzzle Page"

Now, I don't know the unspoken rules (if there is any) in the puzzle world, and if posting things like this is a bit sensitive, if it qualifies as advertisement (note, I have no connection what so ever with this puzzle) or you just want to keep the forum clean towards a particular group of puzzles and therefore does not belong here, please let me know. But I thought it might be a seed for ideas for a wooden puzzle.

Excuse me for all my excuses, but a lot of forums/groups tend to have one or two unspoken rules, and therefore I'm trying to feel my way into this one.  Smiley

Btw. any info about new puzzles here on cubicdissection? I have signed up for the newsletter, but I'm hoping for perhaps a little hint or two about what's coming.  Grin

Embarrassed This is embarrassing, I was so certain that Grand Illusions was based in the US, so I never even bothered to check the "Contact us" details on their website  Embarrassed

Thank you for that eye-opener, and yes it will make things a lot easier(cheaper) Grin

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and you can read more about me in the "New Member" thread.

I'm trying to get in contact with the inventor of this puzzle, in an attempt to buy the lock in Europe (or from himself) because I live in Sweden and the customs tend to grab a lot of parcels from the US. So an already expensive lock from Grand Illusions would be marked up by aprox. 25% from the custom.

I believe this is the inventors website: http://www.popplock.com/ but I get no reply on the e-mail that's located on that website. So if anyone here knows a place to buy this lock in Europe, or how to get in contact with the inventor please let me know.

/Best Regards
Jonas
